how to solve linear equations in two variables

Hi, I am a freshman in high school and I am having trouble with my homework. One of my problems is dealing with how to solve linear equations in two variables; can anyone help me understand what it is all about? I need to complete this asap. Thanks for helping.

I have also used Algebrator a number of times to solve math assignments . I must say that it has greatly improved my problem solving power . You should give it a try and see if it helps.
