I have a solution for you and trust me it’s even better than purchasing a new textbook. Try Algebrator, it covers a rather elaborate list of mathematical topics and is highly recommended. With it you can solve various types of problems and it’ll also address all your enquiries as to how it came up with a particular solution . I tried it when I was having difficulty solving problems based on pythagorean theorem grade 9 maths and I really enjoyed using it.

Algebrator is used by almost every person in our class. Most of the students in my class work part-time. Our teacher introduced this tool to us and we all have been using it since then.
