basic exercises in factoring polynomials

Hello there I have almost taken the decision to look fora math private teacher, because I've been having a lot of stress due to algebra homework lately . Every day when I come home from school I waste all my time with my math homework, and after all the time spent I still seem to be getting the incorrect answers. However I'm also not certain if a algebra tutor is worth it, since it's really expensive, and who knows, maybe it's not even that good . Does anyone know anything about basic exercises in factoring polynomials that can help me? Or maybe some explanations about adding numerators,distance of points or perfect square trinomial? Any ideas will be valued.

What exactly don't you understand about basic exercises in factoring polynomials? I recall having difficulty with the same thing in Algebra 1, so I think I could try to give you some advice on how to handle such problems. However if you want help with algebra on a long term basis, then you should get Algebrator, that's what I did in my Intermediate algebra, and I have to say it's amazing ! It's less expensive than a private teacher and you can count on it anytime you want . It's very easy to use it , even if you never ever tried a similar program. I would advise you to purchase it as soon as you can and forget about getting a math tutor . You won't regret it!
