how to solve a rational equation

I'm just thinking if anyone can give me a few tips here so that I can understand the basics of how to solve a rational equation. I find solving problems really tough . I work part time and thus have no time left to take extra classes. Can you guys suggest any online tool that can assist me with this subject?

I know how difficult it can be if you are not getting anywhere with how to solve a rational equation. It’s a bit hard to give you advice without more details of your needs . But if you can’t afford a tutor, then why not just use some computer program and see what you think. There are numerous programs out there, but one you should consider would be Algebrator. It is pretty useful plus it is quite affordable .

I agree , a good program can do miracles . I used a few but Algebrator is the best . It doesn't matter what class you are in, I myself used it in Remedial Algebra and Algebra 2 as well , so you don't have to worry that it's not on your level. If you never used a program until now I can tell you it's not hard , you don't have to know much about the computer to use it. You just have to type in the keywords of the exercise, and then the program solves it step by step, so you get more than just the answer.

I remember having often faced difficulties with binomials, hypotenuse-leg similarity and function composition. A truly great piece of math program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Algebra 2, Remedial Algebra and Pre Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
