high school algebra word problems

Hi Fellows ! I have a serious issue about math and I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out somehow. I have a math test in a few weeks and even though I have been studying math seriously, there are still a few items that cause a lot of headache , such as high school algebra word problems and decimals especially. Last week I had a meeting with a math teacher, but many things still remain unclear to me. Can you suggest a good way of studying or a good private teacher that you know already?

Although I understand what your situation is , but if you could explain in greater detail the areas in which you are facing difficulty , then I might be in a better position to guide you. Anyhow I have some advice for you, try Algebrator. It can solve a wide variety of questions, and it can do so within minutes. And that’s not it , it also gives a detailed step-by-step description of how it arrived at a particular solution . That way you don’t just find a solution to your problem but also get to understand how to go about solving it. I found this program to be particularly useful for solving questions on high school algebra word problems. But that’s just my experience, I’m sure it’ll be good no matter what the topic is .

I know a couple of tutors who use Algebrator themselves to teach students.

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Algebra 1, Intermediate algebra and Basic Math. It is a truly a great piece of algebra software. I remember of going through problems with radical inequalities, midpoint of a line and x-intercept. I would simply type in a problem homework, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program.
